A Covid Back To School Guide: Questions and Answers for Parents and Students

Parents and students today are faced with an agonizing decision-send kids back into the classroom in the midst of a pandemic or keep them at home, straining the emotional bandwidth of families that have already been pushed to the limit during lockdown.
Many parents and students feel alone in making their decision, unsure whether schools being open equates to them being safe. A Covid Back To School Guide: Questions and Answers for Parents and Students answers the most pressing question facing parents and students today-is it really safe to go back to school?
Answering that question will never be simple, at least not until the pandemic is over, but A Family Guide to Covidprovides insight that might make the choice a little easier. In the book, Dr. Haseltine walks readers through a simple three step rule of thumb that every family can use to come to the decision that is best for them: What is our student's risk of becoming infected? What is our family's risk of severe illness? And is our school doing enough to protect students from an outbreak on campus?
Each chapter of the book is followed by a series of questions and key takeaways to help parents and students evaluate their risk-questions to ask themselves, their school administrators, and their local leaders. While the question of going back to school is not a simple one, this book simplifies the steps needed to arrive at an answer.
Like A Family Guide, the Back To School Guide is a living book that will be updated as our understanding of the disease and the nature of the outbreak changes. When you purchase a copy of the book, either in print or online, you will receive a special passcode that will give you online access to every subsequent edition of the book, as it is released. The first edition of the book is focused primarily on public schools serving students from kindergarten to grade 12. Subsequent editions will address the unique challenges students attending private schools and colleges will face.
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned recently that the world is facing a "generational catastrophe" because of Covid-19 school closures. As Dr. Haseltine puts it, "Our children and grandchildren will one day look back and remember a time when disease stalked the streets and changed their life. My hope is that something good comes of their experience and that they will be inspired to dedicate their lives to learning about science and medicine-whether in schools or learning remotely at home-so that their own children and grandchildren might never have to endure what they did."

Really nice and affordable vacuum!
Color: White, Size: D20Plus, Color: White, Size: D20Plus
I’ve been looking to upgrade my vacuum robot for a while. I came across this vacuum, it is affordable and comes with the features that I’m looking for. The strong suction, hair detangle brush (critical if you have long hair) and easy mapping. It honestly made daily cleaning so much easier. The suction power is seriously impressive. It picks up dust and crumbs and I love how it auto emptied the dust bin. Also I have hard floor at home and I’m loving the mopping function. I love how I don’t have to vacuum and mop the floor by myself anymore! Would recommend this robot to people that are looking for an affordable option!

Decent vacuum/mop for the price
Color: Black, Size: D20Plus, Color: Black, Size: D20Plus
We have had this vacuum for a couple of months now and can now give it an honest review. The good: cleans well, good suction power, durable, manages changes in floor height fairly well, attractive (for a robot vacuum), programmable, great mapping The bad: noisy, muffled voices, cumbersome to program initially, app is not the most user-friendly, does not like rugs with a higher nap. Some tips: 1) If you have pets, be cautious of the cleaning solution. Make sure it's pet safe. 2) For pets and children- Remember to pick up any toys before the cleaning cycle begins. The vacuum will try to eat smaller, flat or string toys, and you will end up with a wrapped brush notification. 3) When mapping for the first time, remember to close doors to any rooms or exterior areas you do not want vacuumed or mopped.

Excellent for vacuuming with a great app
Color: White, Size: D20Plus
This thing is just awesome. I gave her name and some googly eyes, and now she is my official cleaning lady. Does a great job with dog hair which was the main reason for the purpose. I was vacuuming all the time. I have hard floors and 3 dogs one of which is a golden retriever that sheds like crazy. The D20 does really great getting up the pet hair along with other stuff in the floor. I have a couple area rugs as well as thick mats in front of the front and back doors, and she does great on both. I definitely make sure to get up any cables or little things like door stops as she will get caught up from time to time. The app works great and does a good job of sending alerts when there is an issue. It lets you know if it’s hung up on something, stick on an edge and if the cleaners are tangled up underneath along with other things. It’s really easy to flip over and take off the brushes to clean them out and untangle them, and easy to put it all back together. You can also schedule her to clean any time of day / night and customize how it cleans certain areas. I prefer to let her run late at night while me and the dogs are sleeping, and she gets the house done in about 90 minutes and covers a lot of ground. She’s also surprisingly quiet for as much as she is picking up. If I’m already awake, I can hear her start to roll around upstairs. But I’ve never been woken up by her, nor have my dogs. I have never used the mop feature as I bought it only for the vacuuming. From what I’ve read it seems there are better options for mopping. But as far as vacuuming goes I am super happy with her! I was vacuuming 3-4 times a week and would usually mop every other week, if ai could get away with it. Now I vacuum and mop once every two weeks, and Dreame does a wonderful job keeping the place clean in between my bi-weekly cleanings. The D20 was a great purchase and a major time and energy saver for me!

Useless
Color: White, Size: D20Plus
Well so far unable to actually use it to see how it works. I have to split my wifi every time I want to use it. It won't charge even when it's on the dock. When I push "charge" on the app it comes off the dock instead of recognizing that it's already on it and proceeds to roam around the house looking for the docking station that it just left. If it can't even find the docking station while sitting on it how can it properly clean the house? I just bought this after returning a defective AirZeen model. Looks like Shark may be the only way to go. Starting yet another return. These are useless

Great Cleaning Power and Super Convenient
Color: White, Size: D20Plus, Color: White, Size: D20Plus
The DREAME D20 Plus Robot Vacuum and Mop works really well in my apartment. The suction is very strong and easily picks up dust and pet hair from both carpets and hard floors. I also like the self-emptying feature with the large dust bag, which saves me a lot of time. The mapping is accurate, and the battery lasts long enough to clean the whole place. Overall, it’s a great robot vacuum for the price.
