"Persuasive and brilliantly written, the book is especially timely given the rise of trillion-dollar tech companies."--Publishers Weekly From the man who coined the term "net neutrality," author of The Master Switch and The Attention Merchants, comes a warning about the dangers of excessive corporate and industrial concentration for our economic and political future. We live in an age of extreme corporate concentration, in which global industries are controlled by just a few giant firms -- big banks, big pharma, and big tech, just to name a few. But concern over what Louis Brandeis called the "curse of bigness" can no longer remain the province of specialist lawyers and economists, for it has spilled over into policy and politics, even threatening democracy itself. History suggests that tolerance of inequality and failing to control excessive corporate power may prompt the rise of populism, nationalism, extremist politicians, and fascist regimes. In short, as Wu warns, we are in grave danger of repeating the signature errors of the twentieth century. In The Curse of Bigness, Columbia professor Tim Wu tells of how figures like Brandeis and Theodore Roosevelt first confronted the democratic threats posed by the great trusts of the Gilded Age--but the lessons of the Progressive Era were forgotten in the last 40 years. He calls for recovering the lost tenets of the trustbusting age as part of a broader revival of American progressive ideas as we confront the fallout of persistent and extreme economic inequality.Binding Type: Paperback

It’s like a nice hug.
Size: Queen
I find this mattress pad very comfortable to sleep on. I originally bought it because my mattress was too hard. The mattress pad solved the problem. It’s nicely quilted making it very cushy. I’m very happy with it.

Fixed my aches, real improvement in sleep
Size: Queen
It actually does make my bed feel better.
I was skeptical, but decided to try it because our mattress isnt very old but I wake up with aches in my hips/lower back. When I got it, I thought no way this works. But it does.
It goes in like a fitted sheet, super easy to put on. And I honestly havent woken up with hip or lower back aches since using it. Had it on our bed for about 2 months now.
I read some people say they sleep hotter with it, but I havent noticed that at all. Temperature feels the same as without it.
So glad I tried this before spending money on a mew mattress!

Best Mattress Pad!
Size: Queen
This is the best mattress pad you are going to find anywhere and the price is actually a bargain compared to all the other mattress pads I saw in the stores or online. Thought I needed a new mattress but all I needed was this comfy cover.

Soft, comfortable and really nice.
Size: Full
This product is of really nice material. It's soft and comfortable, deep pockets and fits my bed perfectly. It's a great product, however, if you're looking for something for back support, this isn't it. It isn't for me anyway - there's no firmness to this topper at all but it is very comfortable.

COMFORTABLE AND WORTH THE MONEY
Size: Queen
Excellent mattress topper. Its thick and paired with my matress provides a high end hotel feel. I have had it for a few months and it has not lost its shape and stays in place. Worth the money. You are definitely getting what you paid for.
