Foundations of the Gospel: A Believer's Commentary on Genesis 1-3In Foundations of the Gospel, Kuldip Singh Gangar challenges prevailing nonliteral readings of Genesis 13. Against various old earth views of world origins, Gangar argues that believers can read the Bible at face value and trust the historical accuracy of its account of creation. As the author says, If at the beginning we cannot take Gods Word at face value, then we are left wondering whether other passages should also be read that way or not. Gangars

In Foundations of the Gospel, Kuldip Singh Gangar challenges prevailing nonliteral readings of Genesis 1–3. Against various old-earth views of world origins, Gangar argues that believers can read the Bible at face value and trust the historical accuracy of its account of creation. As the author says, “If at the beginning we cannot take God’s Word at face value, then we are left wondering whether other passages should also be read that way or not.” Gangar’s apologetic commentary provides a defense of youngearth creationism, showing how modern concerns are most reliably addressed with traditional biblical interpretation.

______________

Kuldip Singh Gangar was born in India, to a Sikh family, in 1951. When he was 10 the family moved to England. During his high school years he came to faith, the first of his family to become a Christian. His witness was blessed in the conversion of many in his extended family. Dr. Gangar obtained a history degree from Leeds University, a teaching certificate from Birmingham University, a M.Div. from Westminster Theological Seminary, a Master of Theology in Old Testament Studies from Princeton Theological Seminary, and finally a DMin from Westminster Seminary. As a pastor, Dr. Gangar served congregations in Kelowna (B.C.) and Bellevue (Washington). During this time he also began the 'True Path to God' ministry to those of East Asian descent. This became his full-time concern in 2010 with the support of the Outreach Committee of the Free Reformed Churches of N.A. His work developed primarily into a writing ministry to fill a great need for foundational exposition of biblical perspectives for those with eastern philosophic backgrounds. These works are available in the Punjabi, Marathi, Urdu, Hindi, Nepali, and Tamil languages at http://truepathtogod.org/

______________

“It is a privilege to commend this expository and apologetic commentary on Genesis 1–3 by the late Rev. Kuldip Gangar…. Like the apostle John (John 1:1–5), Rev. Gangar knew that Genesis is the beginning of the good news of Jesus Christ. As a result, he set out to carefully engage this area of evangelical confusion by faithfully and ably guiding us through challenges ranging from skeptical criticism to subtle and nuanced ‘alternative interpretations’ of the Genesis text. Rev. Gangar saw that both historic and contemporary evangelical trajectories make it plain that where we lose a right understanding of Genesis 1 and 2, this will extend to Genesis 3 and the fall and to the denial of the person and work of Christ. His opening chapters engage theological and scientific issues, providing a robust defense of an orthodox doctrine of Scripture, including principles of biblical interpretation. From the fifth chapter onward, he weaves together a defense of the literal tradition of Genesis interpretation with the exposition of the text of the first three chapters of Genesis. As you take up and read this work, you will gain understanding of the essential beginning of the Bible and the world, engaging with the God who has spoken to us by His Son, Jesus Christ.” Willliam VanDoodeward, from the foreword

Like the best military items: does exactly what it's used for:
Color: Black
Even better than the infantry watch I used in the USAF 50 years ago. It has 12/24 hour time and day/date; other models have additional features. It's rugged and easy to read - a real watch face, NOT digital ! ... AND inexpensive too. BTW it has a real watch band made to be used in the elements (e.g. weather, work).

Infantry 5ATM Waterproof Mens Military Tactical Field Watch, Date & Day 12/24Hr-
Color: Silver
So I almost never write reviews- anywhere. This is an exception & I'm not paid or reimbursed- just impressed. This watch presents a really good price to value ratio. My infantry watch looks great and is very functional. I put a NATO strap on it because I tend to be tough with watches, though the one it arrived with is very nice looking and the buckle is even logo'd- a really nice touch in this price segment. I've received several positive compliments while wearing it and 1 of my friends has purchased an Infantry field watch from this same series since. The company behind the watch is part of the value equation. I had a minor issue and I was able to get in touch with a real person... no, actually two! I contacted via Amazon AND through the support dept from their website. Both inquiries were promptly answered with a helpful and well-mannered reply and the perfect solution. There are several collections to be found on their website (SEARCH: Infantry Watches ). These watches range in appointment and quality from levels found here to several steps above. Similar in looks and nature to this one on Amazon include; The Chronomaster, The Skeleton, and The Auto-Pilot to name a few. I've begun to add additional watches to my collection from those. There are also fun and informal collaborations offered. Right now [8-2025] these include; Transformers, Monopoly, Peanuts and several others. ---> Overall it's rare and refreshing to find a company still able to work decent products AND ethics into a successful business model! Simple, affordable, smartly styled. Good starter watch for teens
Color: Black
Got this for 13-year-old boy for Christmas. Excellent choice for a beginner's watch. Learn to read a clock face for crying out loud! Easy to set the day/date, and has a comfortable band.

Style classic
Color: Silver
A neat watch, I was a career soldier and I remember getting a few different military style watches, mostly made by Timex. I was in supply so had access to them, often the style was the same and sometimes not. Item was packed well and arrived fast great price
