We were approached and commissioned by The National Spitfire Project to make an exclusive collection of carbon fibre Supermarine Spitfire MKV sculptures to support their fundraising efforts.

"The Spitfire is an enduring symbol of innovation, engineering excellence, hope and courage. In the same way the original Spitfire Fund raised money to help production of the aircraft itself, the National Spitfire Project is raising money to create a worthy monument to the men and women who designed, built, flew and maintained the Supermarine Spitfire. Honouring the past, inspiring our future." -The National Spitfire Project

For each sculpture sold, £1000 will be donated to The National Spitfire Project and the U.K Government have pledged to match fund this amount- making the total donation from each purchase an impressive £2000!

You will also have the option to add your very own signature onto the mast of the Spitfire monument which will be erected in Southampton- the birthplace of the aircraft.

We also encourage you to share your story with us on what this iconic aircraft means to you or your loved ones- to be published in a commemorative book by Carbon Art 45.

The Supermarine Spitfire K5054 was the original prototype of the legendary Supermarine Spitfire.

It's sleek elliptical wings, innovative stressed-skin construction and powerful Rolls-Royce Merlin engine set a new standard for fighter design, laying the foundation for more than 20,000 Spitfires that followed.

It made its historic first flight on 5 March 1936 from what was then Eastleigh Aerodrome (now Southampton Airport).

The flight lasted just eight minutes, with chief test pilot Joseph "Mutt" Summers at the controls. After landing, he famously remarked, "I don't want anything touched" – high praise indeed for R. J. Mitchell's revolutionary fighter.

This sculpture is limited to just 8 pieces.

Fuselage and Wings: Laminated in an aluminium mould using 2 ply/layers of plain weave pre-preg carbon fibre and coated with UV resistant painted and clear gloss coating.

Spinner, canopy, radiator and engine intake: 5 axis machined 7075 aluminium clear anodised.

Mounting rod: 4mm stainless steel rod brushed finished.

Dimensions: Fuselage Length 350mm X Wingspan 400mm X 300mm Height on Base .

Great toy!
Color: Grass Green, Size: Medium
We have a boxer and pit mix and he destroys everything. This toy however lasted the longest. He played with this every day and he plays very rough. But after 3 months I finally threw it out. It was still in tact but it was about to start falling apart. I will definitely buy another one.

Great for aggressive chewers!
Color: Mixed, Size: Medium
My dachshund pit mix is VERY hard on toys. She is a very aggressive chewer. She loves this toy and so far hasn't destroyed it! I was concerned because the center is softer, but because of the shape she is unable to get a good grip on it to chew it to pieces. Very happy with it so far!

Smaller than pictured
Color: Mixed, Size: Medium, Color: Mixed, Size: Medium
It’s a lot smaller than pictured and I have the same dog type as was depicted in the one of the pictures. The dog like it so I guess that’s good. I will not be playing tug of war with him using this. I like my fingers thank you very much. I would say it durable. He destroys most toys in minutes. He did destroy the squeaky part in about 10 minutes so bonus points for that.
