Onze vinologen van perfectewijn zijn altijd op zoek naar nieuwe pareltjes. Nieuwe ontdekkingen waar de wijnliefhebber weer van kan genieten. Hierbij reizen wij door heel Europa. Bij de ontdekking van wijnhuis Donnachiara kwamen wij terecht in ons favoriete wijn land: Italië. Een veelzijdig land waar, zonder uitzondering, in elke provincie wijn wordt gemaakt. Zo ook in het zuiden, in de streek Campania. Vooral bekend om de historische ruïnes van Pompeii en de drukke stad Napels. Echter kent de echte wijnliefhebber Campania als wijnstreek bij uitstek, met veel onontdekte juwelen die zeer de moeite zijn. Wat dacht je van Donnachiara Irpinia Aglianico, een paradepaardje van wijnhuis Donnachiara. Ooit opgericht door Chiara Pettitto en waar vrouwen altijd een doorslaggevende rol hebben gehad. Bijzonder vooruitstrevend voor het soms ietwat conservatieve zuiden. Daarnaast richt Donnachiara zich ook enorm op het milieu. Duurzaamheid staat hoog in het vaandel. Het wijnhuis draait op zonne-energie en al het water wordt gerecycled. Zo kun je met een gerust gevoel gaan genieten van de Campanese schoonheid die Donnachiara te bieden heeft.Hoe smaakt Donnachiara Irpinia Aglianico
De wijngaarden van Donnachiara liggen in het warme Campania. Overdag kan het hier flink warm worden. Echter door de nabije Tyrreense Zee, waait er in de nachten een koele zeebries door de wijngaarden. Hier profiteert de Aglianico druif, lokale held, optimaal van. De druiven bouwen veel aroma’s op en worden lekker sappig. Na de oogst worden de druiven gefermenteerd op roestvrijstaal. Hierna krijgt het sap van Donnachiara Irpinia Aglianico een korte houtlagering van drie maanden op barriques. Dit lijkt niet lang, echter wordt op deze manier de frisheid benadrukt. Dit proef en ruik je duidelijk. Denk aan bessen, verse kruiden en stevig leer. Maar wals Donnachiara Irpinia Aglianico door je glas en laat je inpakken door verse aardbeien en stevige pruimen. Feels good, smells not so good.
Scent: Lavender, Size: 3.3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
My favorite lavender hand cream doubled in price, so I looked for an alternative and settled on this one. JR Watkins is a well-established name with a reputation for quality. The cream is nice, but I'm not fond of the scent. There are many different kinds of lavender, and this one is not my favorite.

Absolutely love this hand cream!
Scent: Lemon Cream, Size: 3.3 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I have really dry skin, partly because I take a chemo med for autoimmune issues that really dehydrated me no matter how much water I drink. Other lotions I bought were either too greasy and just sat on the surface of my skin OR simply weren’t hydrating enough. But this hand cream is my absolute favorite now. It is super moisturizing, but is also fully absorbed by my skin very quickly. It’s honestly impressive. There was a nearly immediate, extremely noticeable difference in the condition of my skin after I started using this.
This lotion even seemed to solve a related issue I was having where my dead skin cells just refused to be shed, no matter how much I scrubbed in the shower or how much of my normal body lotion I applied. Sorry if it’s TMI, but literally minutes after applying this for the first time on my arms, I was able to basically just wipe off that dead layer of my skin, revealing much softer and more supple skin underneath. This is an issue that has been plaguing me for over a year that was seemingly solved in one day.
Additionally, I find that the scent is very pleasant. It weirdly reminds me of Froot Loops at first, but in the best way possible. It’s just got that nice citrus-forward, sweet fragrance, and as it dries down the scent gets mellower and more creamy as the lemon settles into the background. It’s definitely got a gourmand scent imo, but it’s not cloyingly sweet or artificial. It just genuinely smells like madeleines with lemon curd or something.
I think the Shea butter is largely responsible for the creamy, vanilla-like scent that develops after a couple minutes. It’s very nice, I find myself smelling my hands for like an hour after I apply it because it’s just so delicious! It doesn’t have a strong throw at all once absorbed, the scent fades to only be detectable if someone is inches from your skin, so it hopefully shouldn’t annoy people around you unless they are severely intolerant to fragrance.

I would not recommend

First problem…the product description says “scent coconut” which is a false description. I would describe the scent as “medicinal” and of course reminds me of being in a hospital. Second problem…a reviewer called this item non greasy. This product is very greasy/oily and is slow to absorb. The good thing about this item is that its effective for dry skin.
Having tried a couple dozen hand creams, my top 3 in ascending order are…
3. Okeffees working hands. Unscented . If you’re working outside, landscaping, etc, this is excellent.
2. Ahava. Strong masculine scent (musky). Works great. Not greasy or oily. Fast drying. The only negatives are: it’s not always in stock, it’s expensive.
1. Jack Black hand healer. Slight scent from eucalyptus (smells similar to menthol). Works great. Not greasy. Fast drying. It’s expensive however significantly less expensive than Ahava. It’s also much easier to find in stock.
